Barcley was the last one to realise the extent of his addiction

“I appeared to be functioning – I wasn’t. It was just getting worse and worse. The jobs would come and go, the friend’s started to thin out, there was a distance I was putting between my close family because I didn’t want them to know what was going on. It was going downhill but I was the last one to see that.”
