No, we are a treatment centre for adults age 18 and over.
This depends on whether a detox is required as the first stage. Please call our admissions and enquiries team on 01934 815515 (available 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday), or send us a message here to find out more and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
We are unable to offer any payment plan options. We ask for a deposit payment at the point of application which is used towards the total cost of treatment and payments are requested every four weeks.
If you would like to book one of our private treatment packages, you can refer yourself by calling our admissions team directly on 01934 815515 (9am – 5pm Monday to Friday). A member of the team will complete a questionnaire with you over the phone and request a deposit payment. You will then have an assessment with one of our clinicians prior to your provisional admission date. You can read more about private admission here.
No – the 12 Steps is a spiritual model that can be applied by anybody (religious or not) and has helped thousands of people to live clean, sober and happy lives. At Broadway Lodge, we interpret God to mean ‘Good Orderly Direction’, and clients can choose to apply anything that’s important to them as their good orderly direction, whether it’s a faith, music or nature for example.
For more details about the 12 Steps, take a look at our blogs: The 12 Steps Simplified and The 12 Steps for Atheists: it’s not necessarily the God you think. You could also have a look at our website page ‘Our approach to treatment with the 12 Steps‘ which you may find useful.
Our programme is abstinence-based and uses the 12 Steps philosophy as a part of treatment but clients will also receive one to one counselling, daily group therapy, holistic therapies and other treatments that together, will improve mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and provide the tools that can enable clients to achieve a successful, long-term recovery.
All treatments and sessions in the comprehensive daily schedule at Broadway Lodge, as well as all main meals and refreshments are included in the cost of treatment. We do also offer rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation) to both people staying with us and as a standalone outpatient treatment which is charged at an additional cost. You can read more about this therapy as a treatment for cravings here.
Accommodation at Broadway Lodge is a mixture of shared and private bedrooms, some with en-suite shower and WC. Beds and mattresses in the main house are double in size, covered in soft, cosy bedding for ultimate comfort and to aid restful sleep which is an important part of recovery. In the main house (where the full therapeutic programme is delivered), there are 13 single bedrooms, three twin rooms and three four-bed rooms. The bedrooms in our Gordon Beard Unit (where clients initially stay for the detox element or to settle in if a detox is not required) are twin occupancy, shared with same-sex peers if there are two people in a room. Each of these rooms has an en-suite shower and WC. We understand the reservations that people can feel at the prospect of possibly sharing a room but we find that these reservations soon disappear as highly supportive relationships are built. Addiction is an isolating illness so sharing a room can be really beneficial in providing 24/7 peer support.
We know that keeping in touch with loves ones is important during a stay with us so mobile phones can be used. Clients who are detoxing can use their mobile phone each evening during time spent in the Gordon Beard Unit and in the main house, clients are able to use their mobile phone after two weeks at allocated times. WiFi is available. There is also a dedicated client telephone to freely make outgoing calls in the main house.
Aftercare
Broadway Lodge holds complimentary aftercare sessions every Thursday in Weston-super-Mare town centre for anybody who has received treatment at Broadway Lodge, regardless of the time spent in the community since treatment completion. We also run a free weekly online aftercare session every Tuesday which is a three-hour online group therapy session led by a counsellor.
Third Stage Housing
For some clients an extended period of support following residential treatment can help them to adjust and re-integrate into community living. We have many local contacts who provide third stage housing in North Somerset and Bristol and our friendly Support Workers can help you to arrange this accommodation whilst in treatment to ensure a smooth transition.
