Yesterday we celebrated 25 years of service not just for one, but two members of the Broadway Lodge team who will be familiar faces to hundreds of clients who have passed through Broadway’s doors.
Patients were treated to a special visit on Thursday evening from Henry Maybury, a singer songwriter, along with his mum Sally who together set up the Lost Days Charitable Aid Trust.
Broadway Lodge in BBC documentary: “Rehab: Lives Addicted”
Broadway Lodge Addiction Centre has been involved in an exciting project with film maker Phillip Wood of Rare Day Productions on behalf of the BBC to produce a film entitled Rehab: Lives Addicted, which will be available to view on BBC 3 through the iPlayer initially from June 7th 2017 at 10.00am.
We were delighted to receive a wonderful poem “At a First Meeting” by a former patient Andrew, who came to Broadway Lodge back in 1977 to receive treatment for alcohol addiction.
Open to families and close friends of patients, ex-patients and those who have not yet found rehab, our new complimentary ‘Family Programme’ launched on Sunday 29th April 2018 and received a very positive reception.
Following the patient poem that was published two weeks ago we have received another thoughtful poem from a former patient which we are delighted to be able to share.
This spring we welcomed two employees from the local Bunnings Warehouse in Worle who came to help us with gardening activities at Broadway Lodge for a day.
We are truly touched and grateful to a very kind gentleman, Craig Paxton, who ran the 2018 London Marathon yesterday to raise money for Broadway Lodge.
