Why you should consider Broadway Lodge for a detox

Detoxification is a medically supervised procedure that enables a person to overcome their physical dependence to a particular substance. We provide detoxification from: alcohol, opiates, methadone, buprenorphine/Subutex and benzodiazepines as well as prescribed and illicit medication e.g. Tramadol or Pregabalin.

If you’re looking to refer yourself or a loved one for a detox, there are many reasons why Broadway Lodge should be considered as the first choice.

Specialist 24-Hour Medical Department

During detoxification, clients are assessed, monitored and supported both day and night by members of our on-site medical team which includes Psychiatrists, a General Practitioner, Nurse Prescribers, Registered General Nurses, Mental Health Nurses and Health Care Assistants, all delivering specialist interventions in line with best practice guidelines.

Some people with additional medical needs (e.g. suffering with withdrawal seizures), are often accepted to Broadway Lodge even though they may have been declined treatment at other centres previously.

Prompt Admission

We are often able to swiftly admit a client for a detox within a week from the point of enquiry (dependent on space availability and assessment).

Comprehensive Therapy Every Day

Clients receive a full therapeutic support programme every day to complement the physical detoxification. This includes one-to-one counselling, group therapy, lectures, workshops and relapse prevention planning. We also provide regular holistic therapies such as Auricular Acupuncture, Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy Massage to help clients relax, reduce anxiety and enable them to feel a sense of calm. These practices are particularly advantageous to those experiencing worries or stress and we believe they are an invaluable part of the detox package. The combination of medical and holistic treatments, counselling, peer support and staff on site both day and night allows clients to start their recovery in a safe, secure and supportive environment that nurtures their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

Considering a ‘Secret Detox’?

We keep all information strictly confidential so if you’re employed, your employer need never know from us that you have attended Broadway Lodge for a detox which is possible to do during a period of annual leave. The excellent therapy package provided from 07.30am to 10pm on most days means that even a short two week stay to detox can have a profoundly positive impact on your wellbeing allowing you to begin your life in recovery.

Nutritional Food & Peaceful Location

Our chefs provide balanced, healthy and nutritious meals throughout the day and clients have unlimited fresh fruit available. Additionally, the mansion house is located on a hillside on the edge of the town of Weston-Super-Mare, surrounded by tranquil gardens for peace and relaxation with views stretching over the North Somerset countryside.

Aftercare

Aftercare is an important part of treatment. Once a client completes their detox (and rehabilitation programme if additionally undertaken), we provide a complimentary aftercare session held once a week at Broadway Lodge providing a healthy mix of challenge, support and motivation to continue the recovery journey.

Client Feedback

Some comments from clients who have recently detoxed at Broadway Lodge include:

“In my 7 day detox I do not think I could have been treated any better anywhere.  A big thank you to all staff members.”

“A very good detox with excellent staff.  Very good food, friendly and safe environment.”

“There were lots of people that I could identify myself with and listened to their experiences, how and about the way they have progressed.  Had a completely pain free detox and enjoyed experiencing Acupuncture as I was anxious about sleeping.  Also enjoyed Tai Chi and felt physically fitter and stronger when I left (i.e. could carry my suitcase when I could not on the way here). Excellent counsellor I clicked with immediately.  Very good programme, kept busy and did not miss having access to a TV, which I thought I would generally.   Would recommend Broadway Lodge to anyone with addictions of any sort.”
