Broadway Lodge is located on the edge of Weston-Super-Mare within a quiet neighbourhood. This residential community consists of a number of streets in an area known as ‘Bleadon Hillside’ which has its own association whose purpose is to ensure the area remains an attractive and safe place to live.
The Bleadon Hillside Community Association produce a quarterly news booklet full of quirky facts, local news and information on various subjects. They used to rely on local residents to volunteer time to deliver the booklets but since last year, Broadway Lodge have supported the association by carrying out this task.
Last Thursday, on the hottest day of the year so far, Terry (Volunteer HSA) and four senior peers walked the sloping roads around Broadway Lodge and delivered over 100 booklets. Summer 2019’s community booklet can be read by clicking on the link below.
Along with booklet deliveries, Extended Care patients carry out helpful tasks in the community such as litter picking once a week. We’re proud to be able to contribute positively to the local community, helping to make it a clean place where residents enjoy living.
