On Saturday 18th August, counsellor Charma invited colleagues, family and friends to a party in the afternoon as a small fundraiser for Broadway Lodge.
Her daughter, Shelly, organised for a large number of locally sourced items and experiences to be donated as raffle prizes. The raffle, in conjunction with facials provided by a Tropic Skincare representative, raised over £500 – great result! The afternoon also featured cake, karaoke and dinner with plenty of chat and laughter.
Sue Grey, a counsellor at Broadway Lodge, made a passionate speech to explain the care Broadway Lodge provide and how money raised can help. As part of her speech she said “the money that we’ll try and raise is to give somebody who can’t get funding and can’t get support. We’re going to help get that person through treatment…Broadway Lodge really is a miracle mansion for lots and lots of reasons and I know the work that is done there is so amazing.”
