Broadway Lodge is part of the North Somerset Recovery Network and helped organise the annual Loss to Addiction service which took place on Friday 24th November at All Saints Church in Weston-super-Mare.
The event was well attended by a full church of about 150 people. Touching tributes were given through words, songs and poems, including 2 songs written and performed by David Rowland who recently came through Broadway Lodge and is now a participant in the Building Better Opportunities Programme.
Those who attended also had the opportunity to write a message for the remembrance tree and light a candle. The candles are a way of shining a light on those who are no longer with us. The service was very emotional but also a very beautiful way of remembering and honouring those that didn’t make it. A stark reminder to us all.
