One of the things we really love at Broadway Lodge is when we hear that one of our former patients is excelling in their community; they have taken on our suggestions, working a 12 Step programming and helping others.
Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) held their 2017 staff awards on November 13th. In July, AWP asked all their staff to nominate a staff member of AWP or a team that gives exceptional care or brilliant service. The categories offer something for everyone – clinical staff, non-clinical staff, learners and volunteers and are open to individuals and/or teams. Anyone in the service can nominate somebody, whether they are service users, carers or health and social care colleagues in other organisations linked to AWP. Also, AWP staff can nominate an AWP staff member or team for an award.
Therefore, we were very pleased to hear that Tara O’Donnell, who came through Broadway Lodge in 2015 and now volunteers for AWP as part of the Specialised Liaison and Diversion (LADS) Peer Support Team, won The Recovery and Hope award.
Congratulations to all those at AWP who won awards and particularly to Tara for shining a light on recovery, support and helping others.
