We feel very honoured to have been chosen by The Business Desk to be the charity partner for the evening at their black tie business awards in Bristol recently.
The Business Desk, a business news organisation, runs several regional awards evenings in England and on Thursday 14th November, it was the local South West Business of the Year Awards, held at the Harbour Hotel in Bristol city centre. The venue was suitably smart for the occasion and it was fantastic to see over 200 guests arrive for a sociable and celebratory night with colleagues.
Our CEO, John (below), made a speech before dinner was served where he built awareness of Broadway Lodge. He succinctly explained why our work as an addiction treatment centre is so important in saving and changing lives and highlighted that as a charity, all donations make a difference and if anyone did want to donate on the night, they could do it in several simple ways.
We are extremely grateful to The Business Desk for choosing us as their charity partner of the night and to everyone in attendance for their support. Donations made and money raised through a silent auction totalled over £3,000. We are over the moon!
