Today we had to say goodbye to our lovely Dutch Psychologist Claartje who has been working with us for the last five months. She arrived fresh out of Dutch University and her first job was partly overseas in the UK with Broadway Lodge.
Having settled in quickly to the routine of treatment delivery at Broadway Lodge, we soon recognised that we had been sent a diamond as she quickly helped us to streamline some of our systems and support us on one of our projects. She worked extremely hard, was very efficient, supportive and did her job very well. Her confidence began to grow and she became part of the Broadway Lodge family, making friends and joining in the extracurricular activities.
Claartje has also been involved in the Live Love Choir, which supports people in recovery. Claartje has a beautiful singing voice and recently sung with the choir in a fundraiser in support of Weston Hospice Care. She sang with the alto section and will be missed.
Sadly, the day came when she had to return to Holland. In typical Broadway style, she was presented with a leaving medallion and completion certificate just like the patients would be. The staff and patients gave her a beautiful send off. We have no doubt that we will be seeing this brilliant Psychologist again soon. She will be missed by all.
Good luck Claartje.
