Something you may not know about Broadway Lodge is that our housekeeping and catering team are incredible bakers. Last weekend Mandy, Julie, Emma and Caroline kindly spent hours making an array of amazing cakes, cheesecakes and savoury and sweet treats for a bake sale on Monday. This sale was held to raise money for Broadway Lodge in our special 50th year.
The day of the bake sale arrived (Monday 15th July), and the client’s dining room was filled with the sweet aroma of a patisserie as two large tables were filled with all of the wonderful bakes. A queue of staff and clients soon grew, as did the money in the fundraising pot. In under two hours the bake sale raised an incredible £362 for Broadway Lodge!
We are so grateful to Mandy, Julie, Emma and Caroline for all of their hard work and to everyone who generously donated. We can confirm that the cakes were very much enjoyed by all!
